"I love both, but I have always had cats. Because they are loving, sweet, independent and I dont feel guilty like leaving a dog. But I do regularly dog sit the best and cutest Golden Doodle!" - Linsey

"Dogs for sure. I grew up with dogs being part of the family. They are just so loving and loyal. We don't deserve them." - Sarah

"If she really understands, she is super excited and intrigued with the thought of having a brother or sister. She definitely needs someone to play and cause trouble with. Plus, the animals need a break haha." - Calem

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?

"Why don't I do this more often? ... I love to be in an area without light pollution and to be able to appreciate the vastness of the night sky. It's why I love camping and hiking." - Javier

If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?

"A sailboat, or any boat in general. My family grew up with a boat and being "on the water" is where I feel the most at peace. During the summer, we actually lived on our boat and "sailed" from one marina to the next in the New York and New England area where we were able to see many different towns and boating communities. The sea air is freeing and calming. From a young age, my parents have instilled the importance of boating and water safety. Swimming and boating lessons were a necessity if we were to be on the water as a family. Being on the water isn't just an activity, it is an experience and to this day, brings me so much excitement. I also love boating because I know that this is an activity that Jackie also loves, as her family has generations of fisherman. Although we do not have a boat now, we hope to carry on our families boating traditions. We still enjoy water activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and just sitting at the beach, enjoying the sun and waves." - Caroline

"at peace with the hard choice being made now, and knows that we will do all we can to love her child well." - Josh

What scares you?

"Spiders! They are the worst. On a more serious level, anything happening to my family that I have no control over." - Elliot

Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?

"I am definitely spiritual, but very respectful/open/celebrating of people with a religious background. I have friends of all faiths, and I think we all are looking for the same thing -- love, faith, purpose, comfort. I definitely believe in the magic of life. I've had my fair share of life bumps, but also there are so many moments that I met someone, had a moment, that just made me believe in the beauty and magic of it all. I feel that way about the adoption path too. I imagine that when we connect, it will be one of the most impactful and magical moments and connections of my life." - Emily
