The PairTree platform is transitioning to a trusted leader, ensuring its mission continues.
When we launched PairTree, we set out to create a transparent, efficient, and ethical way for families to navigate adoption. Over the years, we built a platform we are so proud of.
- PairTree connected adopting families and expectant moms in a transparent, informed and ethical way.
- We empowered expectant moms with comprehensive education on adoption, helping them make informed decisions rooted in what was best for them long term.
- We bridged the gap in the adoption professional community, creating the first-ever cross-state platform and setting a new standard for collaboration and transparency.
But we’ve always known that systemic change in private adoption requires more than just technology—it requires real policy reform.
That’s why we’re thrilled to share that PairTree has donated our technology platform to AdoptMatch, a subsidiary of Ethical Family Building.
AdoptMatch is part of an action-oriented legislative think tank committed to raising the ethical bar in private adoption, including vetting adoption agencies and attorneys to ensure best practices.
We firmly believe that private adoption won’t substantially change until federal legislation mandates ethical practices, ensuring that:
- Expectant and birth parents have true choices and can make informed choices.
- Adoption professionals can collaborate to support expectant parents, rather than compete for them.
- Birth parents receive the support services they need–before, during, and after placement.
- Adoptive families have access to transparent information at all stages of the adoption process.
But we also know that change will be slow as long as financial incentives work against these ethical principles. That’s why we’re excited that our technology will now be in the hands of the very organization fighting to create this change.
What does this mean for our community?
- Ethical licensed adoption professionals can collaborate with like-minded providers, and their services will be promoted to those seeking help with adoption.
- Expectant parents will have access to licensed ethical adoption providers and a wider range of choices when looking for a family for their child.
- Adopting families will have access to a larger network of ethical adoption providers and enhanced transparency into the adoption process.
This acquisition is a step toward the future we’ve always envisioned: a world where adoption isn’t just accessible—it’s ethical, transparent, and truly focused on balancing the needs and interests of the triad.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
With immense gratitude to the PairTree Team and Community,
Erin
