We met back in 2015 while we were in our first year of law school. We were married in 2019 in front of our family and close friends. We have since grown our family to include our "fur-baby", Moe, who we adopted from a shelter in 2020. He has been the best, most loyal companion and we cannot imagine life without him. In 2022, we had our son, Brady. He was born 6 weeks early and spent a month in the NICU. He is doing much better now thanks to the help from countless doctors and nurses. Despite the scary start we had following his early birth, Brady has brought endless joy to our lives. Our prayer is to bring another child into our family through adoption. We just moved into our new home in Northern New Jersey in August of 2024. Our town is very family friendly and safe. There is lots to do outside as the town is filled with parks and farms. The school system is also excellent. We believe we've found the perfect place to raise our children. Kate is a public interest attorney who is working part-time and remotely in order to be at home with Brady. While Brian works full time as an attorney, we are very lucky because he is fully remote. So he is home every day to have lunch with us or hang out for a minute or two! Our son is home with us full time and we feel very fortunate that we did not need to put him in daycare. He gets his socialization through seeing the many toddlers our other friends and family have, as well as a local gym that does free time for toddlers!

Favorite season and why?
Summer! I love the beach and the water. I love to swim and can't wait to teach our kids too.
-Brian
My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
we live in a quiet neighborhood full of other children and young families. Our children will have lots of neighborhood kids to play with. Our cul-de-sac will be a great place for our children to play safely.
-Brian
We are the best choice because…
we have a great deal of experience through our first child. He was born 6 weeks early and spent a month in the NICU. Brian and I took every obstacle with grace and strength. Our son is now over 2 and THRIVING. Despite the stressful start, we are a happy, healthy, fun and adventurous family. We are so excited to add to our little family to make it even better and stronger.
-Kate
The most special thing I own is...
a pillow my grandma made for me when I was ten. She is and was one of my favorite people in the world. The pillow reminds me she's always with me. I have the pillow in the nursery we've readied for a future child.
-Kate
My best friend would describe me as...
caring and loyal. I will do anything for the people I love. We love to help and support others and plan on instilling our love for community service in our kids too.
-Brian
My philosophy on parenting is...
to be patient and present. I start work early every day so I can spend a few hours with my son before bed time. I also work a totally remote job so I am always available.
-Brian
Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?
We have one son, Brady. He is so smart, fun and kind. He is going to make the best big brother, who I know will constantly look out for his sibling(s).
-Brian
Three years from now, I hope our child’s birth mom is…
still interested in updates to know her child is thriving.
-Kate
If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?
A sailboat! I have been boating with my family since I was a kid. I have so many happy memories from all our time spent together on the water.
-Brian
What is the best word to describe our family?
Strong. Happy.
-Brian
My philosophy on parenting is...
to be patient, kind, loving and present. In a world ruled by phones and TV, we strive to be present for our son at all times. I even stepped down to working part time and remotely so my son wouldn't need to attend daycare and could still have my full attention during the day.

Complete the sentence, “I can’t live without……”
my family! The saying "it takes a village" could not be more true. I'm so blessed to have a family that truly supports me, Brian and our son. They couldn't be more excited for us as we pursue adoption, and I know they will make the best grandparents and uncles to our future child.
-Kate
Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?
Our family is Christian but we lean towards being more spiritual. Our son was baptized in an Episcopal church. We believe in God but that foundation is created more at home than in a church.
-Kate
Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?
Our son is two and a half so while he doesn't understand this concept, he will be an amazing sibling. He is such a gentle and kind kid. He loves to play with other kids and he's a fantastic sharer!
-Kate
The most special thing I own is...
a keychain that was originally my grandpa's. I think of him every time I grab my keys!
-Brian
Favorite season and why?
I love fall! I love the warm weather, changing color of the leaves, and all fall events. We love to apple pick, go for hikes, and take our son to the local farm! We also love using our little fire pit to make s'mores and just relax outside.
-Kate
Dogs or cats?
We are dog people! Our pup is Moe! He is our son's best friend. Moe is patient, protective and so gentle. We couldn't have asked for a better pup.
-Kate
My favorite place in the World is...
the beach! I love to watch my son play in the sand. I enjoy watching the waves and getting to read a book!
-Kate
We are the best choice because…
we have so much love to give and we're ready for another child. We recently bought our forever home. We have officially settled in and we're ready to add to our family! Kate and I are patient, loving and supportive parents who can't wait to adore another child.
-Brian
If I could choose one type of food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be:
anything Italian! We are both Italian and have been to Italy twice over the past few years. We brought our son on our last trip and he had an amazing time.
-Kate
My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
we live in a quiet, safe cul-de-sac in a great town. The town is very safe with a ton for families to do. We also have an incredible school system which was really important to us.
-Kate
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?
I'm reminded of just how insignificant my issues and stresses are, and how lucky I am to be alive & living such a wonderful life with my family. This ultimately reminds me that everything is going to be okay.
