This is us on a trip to Morocco, Brit, as always, looks much better than Jonas
We made it!! We love hiking and this was a tough one up in Washington, where we were visiting cousins.
Jonas and Brit on a hike through the woods. We love nature and try to spend as much time as we can in it.
Favorite season and why?
Winter! I love wearing big winter coats and bundling up on the couch while it storms outside. I love to decorate the house for all the holidays, host parties for our family and skiing with my older sister. I try to do that once a year at least:)

My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
It's safe, quiet, friendly and full of other families with children. We have beautiful playgrounds and parks within walking distance and all kind of activities within a 10 minute drive. Walking trails, parks, bike riding and lots more. We have an elementary school across the street and a preschool near. Most important! My brother, his wife and our two incredible nephews Viggo (4) and Sebbe (2) live ten minutes away! So there's always babysitting and play date fun to be had!
-Jonas Stolpe
The most special thing I own is...
Honestly, it's so hard to choose! I collect all things old/vintage. I hate adding more waste into the world, so I collect most of the things in our home and what I wear secondhand from flea markets and facebook marketplace. I feel like everything I get is special or unique in some way.
-Brittney Krasts
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?
How big and amazing the world is and how much of it there is to discover and explore. How small we are in the bigger picture and how important it is to make the most of the time we have.
-Jonas Stolpe
Brit loves to garden, we're getting better at veggies but it's slow going:)
Brit discovers there's a castle right behind her on a recent trip to Spain. She's super excited about it.
Complete the sentence, “I can’t live without……”
Music of ALL kinds!!! - Music is so important to me because it can set or change the vibe of a situation or the way you’re feeling. It can get you ready for the day or chill you out.
-Brittney Krasts
My best friend would describe me as...
Loyal and passionate. I can always be trusted to be there when they need help and love them unconditionally.
-Brittney Krasts
Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?
No kids but I have an amazing niece and three awesome nephews (13, 4 and 2 years old) who can't wait to welcome their new cousin into the family!

Complete the sentence, “I can’t live without……”
Laughter, silliness and a good sense of humor. Great food and great company. The adventure of exploring the world around me both near and

Dogs or cats?
Cats. I feel like I have a special bond with them and I sleep with a big furry one named Thomas under my arm every night.

In five years our relationship with our child’s birth mother will…
One built on respect, honesty, trust and the shared goal of giving their child the best life possible.
-Brittney Krasts
My favorite place in the World is...
The place I love to take my sisters kids is to the lake. My niece and I love going paddle boarding & swimming together and I get excited every time my nephew takes me down to the water before dawn. I’m not a morning person, but I love that feeling on the dock as the sun is coming up and he's teaching me how to fish. (I'm slllooowly getting better)

Brit helps our nephew Viggo celebrate his birthday in style
Brit and her niece Eli, paddle boarding in Lake Tahoe at our annual family get together.
If I could choose one type of food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be:
Dessert! Cherry pie and vanilla ice cream all day
-Jonas Stolpe
Dogs or cats?
Can't it be both? If I had to pick I'd go dog but nothing beats a cat curled up on your lap.
-Jonas Stolpe
When we argue, what’s it about?
Brit is usually more spontanous than I am and I'm the kind of guy who likes to plan far in advance. When we do argue, we always discover that the best way is usually a little of both.
-Jonas Stolpe
What scares you?
Being without my closest family and friends around me. Dissapointing or letting down those that I love and care for.

Jonas and a dragon that he met on a trip to Norway
Jonas is absolutely obsessed with baking bread. He dreams of one day owning his own sandwich shop. Brit is obsessed with distracting him and making him laugh.
Jonas losing his weekly babysitting wresting match with nephews Sebbe and Viggo.
We are the best choice because…
We're trustworthy and always honest. Regardless of whether we ever gave birth to a child of our own, we've always wanted to adopt since we first met over fifteen years ago. We have a big beautiful family to support, love and encourage your child and we'll do anything that helps your child to grow up to be the amazing person they are meant to be.
-Brittney Krasts
We are the best choice because…
We have adopted family and friends around us, that constantly remind us what a beautiful and important place adoption can have in a child's (and their birth mother's) life. Because we understand that the birth mother's wishes are as important as our own and that, above all else, the most important thing is always what's best for the child.
-Jonas Stolpe
If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?
RV: Because I could travel with my family and friends anywhere, anytime and be close to the mountains, the ocean and whatever adventure I see along the way. Also, nothing beats a good road trip:)
-Jonas Stolpe
If I could choose one type of food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be:
Anything involving cookies!
-Brittney Krasts
Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?
I consider myself spiritual in the sense that I'm inspired by and in awe of the world around us. I find peace, reflection and guidance from it and our place in it.
-Jonas Stolpe
My philosophy on parenting is...
It's our job to show our child unconditional love, support and guidance but I don't believe my job is to be their best friend. I don't believe in physical punishment but I understand the value of setting boundaries and sticking to them. We believe in helping our child navigate the hard stuff, understand and learn from their mistakes and, above all give them the tools and confidence to discover the path in life that makes them the happiest.
-Jonas Stolpe
Three years from now, I hope our child’s birth mom is…
Confident and secure in the choice she made and in choosing us to help raise her child. She's trusts, above all else, that we are giving her child the most supportive and loving family that we can, and that she smiles when she thinks about the life her child has ahead of them because of it.
-Jonas Stolpe
When we visit his brother, Jonas loves teaching our nephew Viggo how to cook. He's really excited to do the same with your child if we're chosen.
Jonas crushes story time with his younger brother Nikolai and our little nephew Sebbe
We do a lot of camping, which gives Jonas time to perfect his famous campfire biscuits!
What is the best word to describe our family?
Supportive
-Brittney Krasts
Why take serious family pictures when you can do this instead? Jonas and Brit with her older sister, her husband and our niece Eli and nephew Tate. They live in Sacramento and we visit a lot.

Jonas is rarely happier than standing in front of his beloved BBQ
Brit's the mechanic in our family. Jonas handles bringing her cold drinks.
One of Brit's favorite hobbies is rock climbing. She goes to Joshua Tree and Big Bear with her friends often.

Jonas with one of our closest friends and her adopted daughter. They live a few blocks over and Krystin and her partner have been our amazing guides and role models through adoption process and will be like family with us as we grow our family. Also, Inez and Viggo crash around our house like maniacs when everyone comes over for BBQ which is so much fun.
Brit loves rescuing and restoring old chairs and other furniture from all over the place. (Sometimes the side of the road)

Our morning routine includes coffee in the veggie garden. We spend a lot of time out here and look forwrad to showing a child all the amazing things we can grow and eat together.
Cooking and hosting dinner for friends and family is one of our absolutely favorite things to do. Those are pork chops by the way and they were really good.
One of the many parks near our house. We can't wait to take your child there with a kite!
Brit and Jonas do some serious pooltime with niece Eli and nephew Tate.
We’ve always wanted to build a family through adoption. To love a child unconditionally and share with them the beautiful, exciting world around us. To bring them into our hearts and allow them do the same. To help them discover their passions and support them in the life they lead. If we’re lucky enough to be chosen, that’s our deepest commitment to both of you. We can only imagine how you must feel at this point so we’re eager to meet you, answer all your questions and hear about your expectations, concerns and hopes for your child, yourself and this process. In the end, we hope you choose us, connecting all of us by the dream of giving your child the fullest life they can possibly have.
