Hello!

Welcome to my profile! I’m Jamie, a scientist in my mid-30s living near Washington, DC, and I am excited to start a family via adoption. I plan to raise a child with my strongest values: care for others, love for oneself as you are, lifelong joy in learning, and appreciation for quality baked goods. Growing up, my parents made the world a better place by opening a bakery and making delicious food. I also want to make the world a better place, that’s why I became a scientist! And that’s why I want to provide a family for a kid who needs one. Since I have so much love to share, I’d like to adopt a child who I can raise with unconditional love and support. I have a great network of friends in DC and family only a few hours away, and I feel ready to bring a child into my life. I know you are facing a difficult choice right now, so I wish you all the strength and wisdom you might need.

my parent's bakery. There's nothing like the smell of bread fresh out of the oven.

Dogs or cats?

I grew up with both dogs and cats, and I love them both! But my cat, Luna, has won my heart. She's lived with me for more than 10 years now and we have built lovely routines together. She sits with me on the balcony every morning while I eat breakfast. She keeps an eye on me from the couch while I work from home. After dinner we usually play with her favorite fishing pole toy, and then she likes to snuggle close in my bed at night. It's hard to imagine life without a fuzzy friend in the house!
