Hello! Our names are Ed and Drew, and we are very grateful for the opportunity to tell you more about us and our journey together. We met over 5 years ago in sunny San Diego, California where we quickly bonded over our large families, love for the outdoors, and most importantly, our shared goal of being fathers someday. We're so excited at the thought of becoming parents together and can’t wait to provide a child with all the love, laughter, stability, and joy we have to give. From the bottom of our hearts, we truly admire your strength and courage in this process and hope that by getting to know us, you feel supported in making the best choice for you and your child.

My philosophy on parenting is...
prioritizing creating a loving, stable environment filled with encouragement, respect, and open communication. We believe in leading with patience and compassion, encouraging their unique strengths, and supporting their growth and curiosity about the world around us. Surrounding our child with our loving network of family and friends will also be very important to us as we strive to raise someone who is well-rounded, empathetic, and a light to those around them. Celebrating holidays, hosting special gatherings, and traveling together as a family are some of the moments and memories we look forward to creating the most once our parenting journey begins.

We are the best choice because…
I believe we are the best choice because we are able to offer a loving, stable, safe, and supportive home where our child will grow up surrounded by opportunity and a strong sense of belonging. We also believe that our differences as a couple make each other stronger and better prepared to raise a happy and healthy child. We will also always be committed to an open and respectful relationship with you, ensuring the child knows their story and is always surrounded by love.

Favorite season and why?
Fall is definitely my favorite season. You can still have great weather, but it also starts to cool down a bit which means the holidays are right around the corner. It's sort of the best of both worlds.
-Drew
What scares you?
I'm definitely scared of heights the most, and don't consider myself much of a risk taker. Other things that scare me: coyotes and random noises in the middle of the night.

Our sweet rescue pup, Whiskey.
If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Living in an RV would be a pretty amazing experience and a great way to explore places all over the country that I haven't had the chance to visit yet. Also, living on the water in a boat may get quite boring after awhile.

If I could choose one type of food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be:
Pizza - no hesitation answering this question. Growing up, pizza night was always Friday night which was something I looked forward to every week. This is a tradition I would love to carry on with our own child.

Complete the sentence, “I can’t live without……”
Sunshine! When I moved from Oregon to San Diego several years ago I underestimated how much I need sunshine to fuel my physical and mental health. Of course, I also couldn't live without our rescue dog Whiskey, my friends, and family.

My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
We consider ourselves fortunate to call sunny San Diego home. We live in a quiet community called La Mesa, just a few miles inland from the beach. Our home is a three-bedroom house with a large yard and outdoor area that is perfect for enjoying the great weather Southern California has to offer. Within a few blocks from our home are several parks, schools, and walking trails that we visit with our dog often and hope to enjoy with our future child too. Our home is located on a safe, quiet street with other young families and retired couples. Each year we take pride in decorating our home with Christmas lights and Halloween decorations that make the holidays feel magical.
