We can’t express how blessed we feel for you to be considering us to be a part of you and your child’s life. If you think we will be a good fit, we look forward to continuing the conversation, getting to know you more, and welcoming you into our family in whatever capacity you are comfortable. Our promise to you is to raise your child in a safe and loving home where they always know how much you love them, and that their mom is brave and strong. We will teach them to chase their dreams and be their most authentic selves. We will always strive to make sure our family is secure so that they can have emotional support, a good education, and a life full of experiences. We are both working on improving ourselves and us as a couple to be the best people and parents that we can be. We hope you will join us on this journey, and that we can give your child the best life together.

Our family (From left: Blake, Blair, Burton & Oakey)
Jeep Rides are our favorite family activity
My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
We live on lots of land with lots of room for a kid to roam. And we can ride our mountain bikes and dirt bikes form our garge to trails clsoe by. We live far enough out in the country where you do not have hustle and bustle, noise, or light pollution, but we can also get to town, friends houses, or activities quick. Our neighbors are our close family friends.

If I could have dinner with anyone—dead or alive—I would pick...
I would love to hear rock n roll stories from Duanne Allman from the Allman Brothers Band or Ronnie Van Zant from Lynyrd Skynrd from the 70s. But hanging out with Ella Langley at a dog rescue would be pretty cool too.

When we argue, what’s it about?
How I could think about things or say things more empathetically. The engineer in me craves efficiency but discussions require more connection and consideration.

We have lots of room for kids to be kids and play outside.
-Blake
When we argue, what’s it about?
Blake's an engineer. He's a left-brain thinker and all brains (he's dillegently working on it!). I am a right-brain thinker and am all heart and emotions. Sometimes I take the way he says things literally too personally.
-Blair
I hope our child’s birth mother is…
Able to build a relationship with our child and our family.

Favorite season and why?
Fall. The trails are mint! No overgrowth, no spiders or ticks, no Southern Summer heat, and lots of colorful fall leaves.
-Blake
My favorite place in the World is...
Where I live- Rabun County, Ga. It is a quaint mountain town in Southern Appalachia with lush mountains, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, rolling green fields, a cute 1 road and 1 red light downtown, and an amazing community. If we were traveling though, we would pick British Columbia every time. It's like Rabun County but everything is bigger.
-Blair
I'm super competitive when it comes to...
Reading. Thats what competition for ex-athletes looks like in your 30s lol.

In five years our relationship with our child’s birth mother will…
If our child feels comfortable having a relationship with their birth family, which we will encourage, we hope we can have in-person visits and virtual communication. It is completely up to the birth parents and the child, and we understand that may look different in different seasons of life.

We are the best choice because…
We have dreamed of being parents together ever since we met. That love of our future child has grown so deeply over the last 5 years as we've tried to start a family. I talk my child(ren), and pray for my child(ren), every day. There is no doubt that our child(ren) will know they are loved. And through that abundance of love, we hope they can be their most authentic self. We are committed to raising our child(ren) in a home where they feel safe, secure, and can simply be kids. We will fill their life with play, adventure, and fun. Whether it is heading to the river after school for a swim, building treehouses and bike ramps in the backyard, being barefoot most of the summer catching fireflies in the field, exploring different corners (and national parks) of our country in our camper, or venturing out to other parts of the world. Ultimately, we want our child(ren) to live life to the fullest.
-Blair
Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?
We do not. We do have a 4 year old niece, who lives close by, and who is so excited to have cousins.
-Blair
Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?
Spiritual. I firmly believe in God, and have a good relationship with them (most likely a her let's be honest), but do not agree with organized religion. In my opinion, everyone intrinsically knows what is wright or wrong, what we should do in certain situations, the answers to life's big questions. Religion seems to cloud that clarity with man's perspective rather than having a direct connection and clear communication with God. If my child would like to explore religion, I would be happy to take them to a variety of religious instiutions or denominations so that they can form a well rounded belief system. I would support them in whatever religion they chose best aligned with their beliefs.
