We know through spending time with each other, family, and friends that we are ready to bring a baby into our loving family. I think we took a little longer than some couples to decide we were ready because we wanted to be absolutely sure. We have spent time with our support system of friends, neighbors, and family members to ensure the community around us is excited and prepared, too! The two of us communicate so well with each other, and have been talking about this for a long time. We recently were able to host a newborn and a 3 year old for a long weekend at our home. The big theme of the weekend was that no parents are perfect. We quickly learned that our well intentioned plans for bath, book, and bed time, and waffle breakfast were turned upsidedown. Bed time looked more like couch cuddles and watching Elemental twice, and waffle breakfast turned into a quick run to the store because the three year old wanted sausage and eggs. We feel that the good news is that kids don't care if you haven't washed your hair in three days, or if your plan for a three course meal does not pan out, they love you anyways. As long as you show them love and support, they will also love you back. We hope that you will see in us a strong, loving, and committed couple, with the support system and community backing us to provide a safe, loving, and supportive home for a child. Our promise to you is that we will continue to listen, learn, educate, and grow along with you on this journey. We will ask questions, let you ask questions, provide honest answers, and give you as much information as you need or want. We want you to feel that you can depend on us for comfort, safety, and support. Some of our best relationships along the path of life have been with friends that have turned into family. People we have grown to depend on for love, support, and open communication. We are hopeful for this type of relationship if you are open to it. We believe that the universe brought us to this journey for a reason, and as long as you want to go through it with us, we are fully with you. We look forward to meeting you with open arms and optimism.

My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
We live across the street from a baseball field, track, and school. We also have a huge backyard to run around and play.

Dogs or cats?
I love all animals, but I have an above and beyond love for dogs. My husband always tells me I love dogs more than most people do.

If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Sailboat! My family has a house on the water in Florida and I could totally just sail all the time from place to place.

My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
Our backyard is a parkland full of local wildlife: squirrels, deer, foxes, groundhogs, and lots of birds. Our front yard looks out to the tee-ball fields, soccer fields, and high school football stadium. We are walking distance to the community pool and library, and -- best part -- both are on the way to our local soft-serve ice cream shop!

Favorite season and why?
Baseball season!

What scares you?

We take our dog Owen on trips with us as often as we can, I know he wants to be with us and experience the world too!
