Dear expecting mom, I want to thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and learn a little bit about the life I hope to share. It means the world that you may consider choosing me to raise your baby. I know that no part of this process is easy and I admire the love and strength you have to consider this path. I look forward to learning about you and the hopes you have for your child. My name is Liza and I’m a single woman who lives in a vibrant and multi-cultural community in Brooklyn, New York. I grew up in a suburban town just outside of the city where my parents and brother still live today. My home is filled with family photos, fun art work (some made by me) colorful furniture, and a big open kitchen where I love to cook. There is also a whimsical nursery compete with stuffed animals, books, and a handmade forest themed mobile. I’ve worked hard to build a beautiful home and am looking forward to raising a family here. I am an architect & interior designer with my own business which means I have the stability to raise a child in a well rounded and safe environment. My office is at home so I have the flexibiliy needed to also be a stay at home parent. I have a dog - a playful 5yr old Potcake rescue named Sadie who is funny and loves to cuddle. We spend tons of time at the park and playing tug of war. She spends a lot of time on the balcony sun-bathing, haha. I also have a big fish tank with three fish named Lilibet, Gerdie, and Topenga. They were cleverly named by my niece Kayla. I am spiritual but non-religious and am extremely open-minded. I have a large group of life long friends who also have children of all ages. Every year we schedule big group ski trips and camping trips together. I don’t ski, but I love to go tubing before eating s’mores around the fire pit. You can learn tons more about me through my adoption website and social media pages at www.Lizaadopts.com Of course, I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about my decision to adopt and about the type of parent I want to be. Please reach out at anytime. With Love, Liza

Meet two of my little cousins!
Winter Tubing
I would never...
eat mayo. It's gross, haha.

If I could choose one type of food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be:
Cheese! All types, even the stinky ones.

My philosophy on parenting is...
to listen, encourage, and provide guidance. I believe that children need discipline to walk the right path, but they also need some wiggle room to have fun, grow and figure out who they are.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?
The night sky inspires me to live each day to the fullest. It reminds me that anything is possible and that the next day is a new fresh beginning and an opportunity for something great!

She’s a happy girl.
DIY Collage Art. I combined an old drawing from college with fabric and wallpaper samples.
My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
there are tons of young diverse families, great schools, beautiful parks, and fun activities. It's close to my large extended family and several other adoptive families who are all supportive.

What is the best word to describe our family?
Warm, funny, adventurous, loving, and always surrounded by food! I have a large family and they are all very excited to welcome a new member into the family. Lot's of hugs and cousins in this crew!

If I could have dinner with anyone—dead or alive—I would pick...
My grandmother (my mom's mom). She passed before I was born and I have always felt really close to her even though we never had the chance to meet. I believe that she watches over me.
-Liza
We are the best choice because…
I will provide a loving, stable, and fun home full of opportunities and experiences. As a business owner I can provide security and still be a stay at home mom. I'll never miss an important moment.

The most special thing I own is...
An antique telephone table that belonged to my grandparents. My grandfather found it in the trash in 1940 and I recently updated it with funky fabric & paint. It's now in my living room.

If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?
RV. Traveling the land gives you the opportunity to meet interesting people and experience where they live. I may also need a boat to visit other continents :).

In five years our relationship with our child’s birth mother will…
My hope is that we'll have built a relationship filled with understanding, respect, and an open line of communication. I would always want you to feel confident about choosing me to raise your child. We would be family.

Family party with my niece & nephew!
My best friend would describe me as...
welcoming, inclusive, loyal, strong & supportive.
-Liza
Three years from now, I hope our child’s birth mom is…
thriving & happy. I hope you are comforted knowing that your child is loved, encouraged, supported, and cared for in the best ways possible way.

Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?
Spiritual & Open Minded

Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?
I don't have other children, but am open to the possibility of adopting more than once. My brother Eric and I are close and I would love the child I raise to experience the same type of relationship as they grow up.

Christmas Dinner: Roasted pork loin with brussel sprouts, farro, and scallion chimichurri.
With my mom in Times Square before a Broadway show!
My favorite place in the World is...
A beach in Montauk NY with an amazing sunset where I go each summer with family. My grandparents brought my dad when he was little, my parents brought me, and I can't wait to continue the traditon.

Favorite season and why?
Fall brings cozy sweaters, hot soups, and the beginning of the holiday season. That means lots of happy celebrations and meals with the people I love.

Complete the sentence, “I can’t live without……”
Tea! I grew up drinking tea w/ my grams and think of her everyday when I pour my first cup. I have a large tea collection from all of my world travels. I probably couldn't live without travel either!
-Liza
Dogs or cats?
Dogs! Sadie is my sweet 4yr old rescue dog who came to me from the Caribbean after an accident where she broke her hip. She is now recovered, happy, and loves children, cuddling, and carrots.
