My best friend would describe me as...

Warming, Caring, Kind, Patient and Compassionate as a mother. I am totally dedicated to my children and family and structure my work life around their needs to be a present parent. I am dedicated to serving others and the community. I am involved in the supporting the Children's Library of the local public library. One of my best friends recently told me that I was glowing as I was enjoying the time around my children before school started this fall.

My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…

We live in an idyllic village community within walking distance of schools, playgrounds, farmers' markets. We have superb public schools and we send our children to public schools because their offer more diversity and inclusion than the private options. We have a warm circle of friends who are supportive of our adoption journey.

Favorite season and why?

I love the autumn, with the beginning of cooler weather and the feeling of transition.

Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?

We are praticing Catholics and integrate values of compassion, kindness and foregiveness into our daily lives.

Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?

We have three living children--3 boys (see below) and a daughter who died of a congential heart condition. All of our living children are very warm and open and would welcome a new sibling with open arms! OTTO (6) is a bright, kind and curious child who shares his parents’ loves of learning and libraries. Because Otto is the eldest of 3, he is very patient and is able to relate to younger children with kindness and compassion. He is an excellent “mini-parent” to his baby brother Max and Theo and helps to reason with Theo when he is having meltdowns. He loves to have playdates with both boys and girls, switching between active play and creative and imaginative play (like fairy house hunting). Otto is very artistic and musical as well (he takes piano lessons). THEO (4) is a great team player and gets along well with all of his siblings. Theo is active, outgoing and loves playdates with friends. He seems athletically inclined and very much has a “tough guy” personality. He is obsessed with playing with trucks and also considers himself an “owl expert”—we have a large collection of owl stuffed animals, owl books, and also visit the owls at the local zoo MAX (2) is the charming baby of the family. Ever since he was an infant, he has been an easy, social and outgoing baby; we have loved seeing his warm and outgoing personality develop. Maxi is extremely social and has a great sense of humor; he loves to laugh at his brothers. He is a very affectionate little child and responds well to playing with other children, like siblings of his brothers’ friends. Maxi is currently obsessed with animals and animal noises. What unites all of our children is their strong sibling love and sense of belonging. All of our children love babies and would welcome a new sibling with open arms
