Please do not hesitate to reach out and ask any questions. We are an open book! Jim grew up in Vermont and Lori is from Alaska. We met in Charleston, South Carolina sixteen years ago; In 2011, we got married and moved to Kirkland, Washington. Jim is the Regional Director of Cellular Sales in the Pacific Northwest and Lori is a stay-at-home mom. Our three kids Cooper (10), Ellyana (8), and Joey (5) express their eagerness every day to welcome a new sibling into our family. The kiddos participate in multiple sports, music lessons, and youth group weekly. We are a welcoming, adventurous, generous, and active family. We thrive on hosting others and building community. Cle Elum, Alaska, Hawaii, and the South Carolina beaches are some of our favorite places to vacation. We prioritize time with our kids. We love being together. Board game nights, dance parties, family walks with our doggies, wrestling matches, reading, and Nintendo switch battles are all a part of our normal weekly routine. Our prayer for your little one is to grow up with a strong sense of their identity, worth, and infinite value. Dogs or cats?
Dogs. We have two! Barry is our 11 year old pug/boston mix. When he isn't chasing a tennis ball, you can usually find him under a blanket snuggling one of the kiddos. Mickey is our 1 year old goldendoodle. He truly thinks he is one of the kids - he follows them everywhere! He loves to play fetch, tug-o-war, and snuggle.

Matt Damon. (I've been told we look alike.)

If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Sailboat. There is something so healing for me about being near the water. It's probably the reason we make it a priority to visit the beach, lake, and go fishing throughout the year!

My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
we live on a quiet cauldesac next door to some of our best friends and their kids. Community dinners, neighborhood movie nights, street hockey, carpooling to sports practices, summer bonfires, flag football, freeze tag, are all part of our regular rhythms! We could not be more grateful for our neighborhood.

coffee. I will always say yes to coffee. Hot or Iced. I love to set our coffee maker the night before. When my alarm goes off - its coffee and whip cream that motivates me to get out of bed early and start my day with prayer for my husband and kiddos.

FUN! (We love to adventure, host, dance, wrestle, travel, play board games and video games, cook, hike and be present together as a family.)

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?
Wonder. Awe. Worship. Gratitude. Looking at the night sky is absolutely one of my favorite things to do. I have vivid memories of standing under the stars with my Dad as a kid and sitting the wonder of this beautiful world.

Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?
Yes. They express their eagerness almost daily! When we ask them why they think our family would be a good family for an adoptive child, their response usually includes "because we have so much love to give and share, its overflowing."
