ooh hmmm... Good question... if there were no phyisical ramifications I would choose Oreo ice cream.... But since that's not realistic I'd probably say Olive Garden's Chicken Gnocchi Soup! It's bottomless so that works out! 😋

Favorite season and why?
Season 4 of The Office! This is the season where Pam and Jim get together! <3 But really truly, I love Spring because of the warmth, the sunshine and that we can get outside and go for walks, hikes and picnics.

Three years from now, I hope our child’s birth mom is…
Three years from now, I hope our child's birth mom is happy, healthy and full of peace about her decision to choose us to parent her child. I hope that she is thriving in whatever path she chooses and that she knows that we are here for her and extremely grateful for her presence in our lives.

This is actually kind of a cute store. We were both counseling high schoolers at a summer camp and for skit night we played a game of trivia about us based on a poll that our campers did about us. Lets just say that Marcus won and his prize was to smash a pie in my face. At the last second he did the noblest and sweetest thing and pied himself in the face instead! All the campers were shocked and blown away! But he did end up pieing me in the face shortly after. This is a precious memory of ours.
We met performing in Beauty and the Beast for our local theater program! We became waltzing partners for Human Again and quickly became friends before dating 9 months later. <3
My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. We live just a few blocks away from the downtown park and there are so many fun things to do especially in the summer! Lots of events for kids, including the Tulip Festival which is the highlight of the year around here.

Dogs or cats?
We love BOTH! I adopted and nursed to health our cat Jack early on in our dating realtionship, and our Dog Daisy was just a pup when we met. We love both of them. They both bring alot of warmth, comfort and fun into our home.

My favorite season is either spring or summer because we can do more activities at night like camping,hiking, disc golf,etc.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?
God is SO beautiful and indescribably magnificent. I think abou how I am so small and yet He chooses to love and care for me. It puts me in complete awe of God's greatness and goodness! 🫶🏼

We hope that our child's birth mother is within driving distance so that we can see her often if she wishes. We want her child to know and be a part of our and her child's life.

Courtney's brother Josh lives out in the Black Hills so sometimes for vacation we will go there to visit and go on hikes!
We celelbrated our honeymoon in California and took along our wedding attire for a photoshoot! (It was very VERY cold on our wedding day so this was a nice treat. <3

Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?
Both! I treasure my relationship with Jesus, but I also love our church and feel so filled up by the preaching and community that we have there.

My favorite place in the World is...
Memorial Stadium in Nebraska. I love it beacuse it was my first college stadium I ever went to with my dad and two brothers. Just creating memories that will last forever.

We are occasional volunteers for our local art club! This time we dressed up as Olaf and Ana and spent some time doing crafts and watching Frozen with kids in the local community. :)

We are the best choice because…
We are SO ready and excited to become parents. We have alot of love in our hearts and are thrille to share our home, lives and adventures with future baby and his birth mom. We have been hoping to grow our family for two years and we know that waiting for baby will be the most worthwhile time because we will be so grateful and baby is already so wanted and loved.

If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?
I would much rather live in an RV! I'd get to travel the country with my family and would love to go to all the national parks. Besides, I get a little seasick so a sailboat might not be the best option for me. 🤗

What scares you?
I'm most afraid of disappointing people that I love. I prioritize healthy close relationships so thinking that someone is disappointed in me makes me uneasy. Also centipedes... Horrible little creatures. 😳

Probably Rashida Jones (Ann from Parks&Rec). I relate to her character's personality in so many ways!

My favorite place in the World is...
My favorite place in the world is in Ortonville MN. I spent 7 years counseling youth at a camp up north and my favorite spot was at the edge of the dock overlooking Big Stone lake at sunset. It was the most beautiful view that reminded me of God's goodness and greatness.
