A cold day visiting London! Our relationship began long distance- so we love to travel!

Pizza! So many different topping options. Except pineapple. Sometimes I make my own dough since I like to bake.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?
The depth of it all. How small we are in the universe and how lucky I am to be alive. We love to sit on a blanket on a clear night and look at stars.

Family night out to minor baseball! We love time with our nephews.

There are a lot of younger families on the block, the street is off the beaten path and we are very close to a lot of fun activities.

Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?
Spiritual. I truly appreciate my upbringing in faith, and I feel that my Mom impacted my growth positively. Letting children explore belief and having their ideas respected is important to me.

pick one? Not a big risk taker, I think safety is important. I did more risky things like surf and play roller derby when I was younger. I am good with yoga and walks now!

Definitely RV, I like boating but don't think I could do it for the rest of my life.

My philosophy on parenting is...
I want our child to have choices. It's important that my child always feels like they matter. I love you even if the choice you are making isn't working.

When we argue, what’s it about?
We both are the youngest in our family and used to being independent. We learned early on that when we do any house projects or cooking that we have to choose who is driver and passenger. It helps!

We are a really good balance and bring our each others positive qualities. Dave is more handy, patient, and laid back than me. I am more organized, and creative. We are both fun, confident, & caring.

Favorite season and why?
Fall, feels like the entire world is exhaling a sigh of relief. Great weather (not too warm) and fun festivals. Fresh harvest from the garden. We like making apple pie, and celebrating Halloween!

There is not one thing, however I have a knack for antiquing. I started collecting Lladro for Janis and I- the first one I found is a Flamenco dancer. A reminder of one of our first dates!

If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Sailboat. At one time in my life I wanted to live on a houseboat. I love being on or near the water.

at the risk of sounding vain, my jewelry. I love necklaces and other items I inherited from my Mom and Grandma. And I am always drawn to stones like amber or rose quartz. I find it healing.

Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?
Bit of both? I was raised Catholic and went to a Catholic high school. After living overseas, I found myself questioning if there is more beyond religion. I want children to have a voice in beliefs.

My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
both our families are nearby. And the schools here are great, plus there are lots of fun family activities- parks, children's museum, libraries. We have close friends and community as well.

Dogs or cats?
Both! We have 2 cats, and I grew up with dogs. We agreed our next animal will be a puppy. I think it is important for children to have pets- I loved my childhood dog Honey so much!
