We rarely pass up an opportunity for a good theme party :)
We love love love to bike around town, and especially together.
Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?
Our 5-year-old son, Forest, would be an affectionate, playful, and protective brother. He is outgoing and while he is creative and enjoys playing by himself, he would embrace a sibling and playmate.

My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
Our neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because it is safe, we are surrounded by a community who love us and our children and where we can get outdoors, play, walk, and bike.

What is the best word to describe our family?
The best word to describe our family is expressive. We are animated, talk a lot with each other, and share our feelings openly.
-Josh
What scares you?
What scares me is a life without new experiences. I choose to introduce novelty into my life every day. It can manifest in the way I choose to drive somewhere, what I read, and where we live and work.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?
When I look into the sky, I think of how vast the universe is, how small a part humanity is, and how critical it is to prioritize family, friends, and shared experiences during our time on Earth.

My philosophy on parenting is...
Watch and learn from the child and go from there. Each child is an individual that has a different needs that should be acknowledged and respected. I don't believe parenting is a "one size fits all."

My best friend would describe me as...
Caring. I'm a natural caretaker, as a mother and as a health care practitioner. I like to think of the little things and gestures, no matter how small, to remind others how they are special and loved.
-Courtney Maree
My philosophy on parenting is...
Our philosophy on parenting is to allow Forest to learn through trying things, taking risks, and developing confidence, while building relationships based on kindness, respect, and curiosity.

We have a 4 year old son, Forest. He is so loving of others and has a gigantic imagination! He loves spending his time at school and with his friends and will definitely love being a big brother.

Enjoying a moment for ourselves.

Watching the sunset on the Oregon coast 2020.

Kayaking at Cabo San Lucas during Courtney's Mom's 70th birthday.
Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?
I consider myself someone who believes in a higher power of some sort. I grew up Catholic, and have continued to integrate spiritual and community practices into my life.
-Josh

In 5 years, we will have a relationship based on trust, respect, and love for your child, one that is the product of (potentially) years of conversations and thoughtful nurturing and caring.
-Josh
