If I could change one thing about the World, it would be...

That there was less suffering. There is a lot of pain involved in living. It teaches us but it also hurts. I wish people could learn the lessons with less of the hurt.

-Kim

What scares you?

Something happening to one of my loved ones.

-Kim

My philosophy on parenting is...

Love, listen, understand, boundaries and some more love. I’m sure it will be less idealistic once we are going through the ups and downs of raising a child.

-Kim

Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?

I grew up in a very religious home and have found that organized religion is not for me. I do feel spiritual especially when in the outdoors.

Four wheeling at a family friends ranch

The most special thing I own is...

We have two dogs we really love. Out side of that most things can be replaced.

-Kim

Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?

We do not have kids yet.

-Kim

When we argue, what’s it about?

Generally time management. Running two business makes it hard to find time for each other. I plan to step away from work once we adopt to alleviate that stress.

-Kim

What is the best word to describe our family?

United. They can always be counted on. Even when there are disagreements you never question that they will be there.

-Kim

My best friend would describe me as...

Kim- kind, generous, funny a little weird? Pete- funny, generous, laidback, dependable.

-Kim

My favorite place in the World is...

Floating in a little lake in the North Cascades. My family has been going to the lake since I was an infant. Every time we brake through the trees and see it my heart feels full.

-Kim

What scares you?

Losing a loved one.

-Pete

Complete the sentence, “I can’t live without……”

My sister and family. Pete and I are very close with my family. We regularly have dinners and help each other with various projects.

-Kim

Dogs or cats?

Why choose. We have dogs, cats, goats, chickens, horses.

-Kim

We are the best choice because…

We are the best choice if you as the mother think we are. We have wonderful friends and family and have worked hard to creat a beautiful home. We just need help adding the final members our fairytale

-Kim

Complete the sentence, “I can’t live without……”

My wife and family.

-Pete

In five years, our relationship with our birth mother will...

Until we know each other and what everyone’s needs are that’s an impossible question to answer.

-Kim

Three years from now, I hope our birth mom is…..

Thriving. I hope that the extremely hard decision they have had to make has allowed them to take care of there needs whatever they may be.

-Kim

If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?

An RV, with a boat towing behind it .

-Pete

If you had to live on an RV or sailboat for the rest of your life, which would it be?

Defiantly an RV. I love boating and have spent a lot of time on the water but it’s not a place I would want to live.

-Kim

Favorite season and why?

Summer, love being outside!

-Pete

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?

Awe.

-Kim

If I could have dinner with anyone—dead or alive—I would pick...

My grandpa. We were very close and he passed when I was in middle school. Pete would say his dad. Who also passed from cancer much too young.

-Kim

I hope our birth mother is...

Not knowing you I don’t know what to say. I hope you know that you are strong and brave and that if you chose us your baby will be loved and supported. By us and our entire family.

-Kim

Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?

Raised Catholic , still a spiritual person but not attending church.

-Pete

My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…

My neighbors are amazing there is a mix of young families and retirees. We get together for bbq and everyone is available if help is needed. Also my sister/favorite person lives just down the road.

-Kim

If I could choose one type of food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be:

Pasta. All the pasta.

-Kim

Favorite season and why?

Spring. It brings so much hope. There are buds on the trees and bulbs poking out of the soil.
