What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the night sky?
When I look into the sky, I think of how vast the universe is, how small a part humanity is, and how critical it is to prioritize family, friends, and shared experiences during our time on Earth.

My philosophy on parenting is...
Watch and learn from the child and go from there. Each child is an individual that has a different needs that should be acknowledged and respected. I don't believe parenting is a "one size fits all."

Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?
Our 4-year-old son, Forest, would be an affectionate, playful, and protective brother. He is outgoing and while he is creative and enjoys playing by himself, he would embrace a sibling and playmate.

We are the best choice because…
Our family is such a unique blend of compassion and humor, curiosity and vulnerability. We love celebrating our individual differences while playing an active role in our community.

Do I have kids? How do they feel about a sibling?
We have a 4 year old son, Forest. He is so loving of others and has a gigantic imagination! He loves spending his time at school and with his friends and will definitely love being a big brother.

Do you consider yourself religious or spiritual?
I consider myself someone who believes in a higher power of some sort. I grew up Catholic, and have continued to integrate spiritual and community practices into my life.

In 5 years, we will have a relationship based on trust, respect, and love for your child, one that is the product of (potentially) years of conversations and thoughtful nurturing and caring.

I hope our birth mother is...
Proud of who you are and your decisions. I hope you hold your own internal compass that tells you what is good and right for YOU and that your peace and happiness comes from this place.

My best friend would describe me as...
Caring. I'm a natural caretaker, as a mother and as a health care practitioner. I like to think of the little things and gestures, no matter how small, to remind others how they are special and loved.

Three years from now, I hope our birth mom is…..
Thriving, healthy and proud of herself. I hope she is continually feeling empowered to evolve into her truest self and that she is following her dreams. I hope she feels loved by herself and others.

My neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because…
Our neighborhood is a good place to raise a family because it is safe, we are surrounded by a community who love us and our children and where we can get outdoors, play, walk, and bike.
Josh
What scares you?
What scares me is a life without new experiences. I choose to introduce novelty into my life every day. It can manifest in the way I choose to drive somewhere, what I read, and where we live and work.
